Updated Notice to Counsel and Adjudicators Handling Cases Involving St. Anne’s IRS

Accessing the St. Anne’s (Fort Albany) IRS Module of the IAP Decisions Database

On December 19, 2014, Canada replaced two of the redacted supporting documents to the St. Anne's (Fort Albany) IRS school narrative (transcripts of criminal trial proceedings involving two former employees of St. Anne's IRS), with unredacted versions. The document numbers, as referenced in the Narrative List, are FTA-000895 and FTA-002343.

These two documents can be retrieved from the St. Anne’s module of the IAP Decisions Database.

To acquire only the two updated documents:

1. Log into the Decisions Database via: http://iapedi.ca/
2. Click the ‘St Anne’s School’ button on the main screen, enter the first document number in the ‘File Name’ field and click ‘Search’, then click the blue arrow to the left of the file name to download the document;
3. Repeat this process to retrieve the second document.

To acquire the entire St. Anne’s (Fort Albany) School Narrative:

1. Log into the Decisions Database via: http://iapedi.ca/
2. Click the ‘School Narratives’ button, use the search function or navigate to the listing for St Anne’s (Fort Albany) IRS, then click the blue arrow to the left of the file name to download the entire narrative. Please note that this is a sizable file and may take a long time to download.

Claimant Counsel wishing to access School Narratives in the database must have a specific account to access the IAP Decisions Database.

If you do not already have an IAP Decisions Database account and you would like one, please send a new account request with your name, email address, and phone number by email to IAPS_Chiefadjudicatorsoffice@irsad-sapi.gc.ca.

Please note that the Oversight Committee and the Courts have determined that the IAP Decisions Database is accessible only to lawyers representing parties to active IAP proceedings for the purposes of providing representation to such parties in respect of such proceedings.
