Notices to Counsel | Changes to scheduling procedures for complex track hearing dates

Effective immediately, the scheduling of complex track hearings may occur at the same time as the scheduling of pre-hearing conference calls. Rather than waiting for parties to set the hearing dates on the teleconference, this will increase the timeliness of claims proceeding to hearing and help ensure the preservation of claimant testimony.

As per standard procedure, if required, any party may request a postponement in accordance with the postponement policy (Guidance Paper 7R1), and should do so as soon as possible to minimize unrecoverable logistics costs.
